Hours of operation during events

Events take place at the facilities of the Museum. During these events, outside the normal open hours, the exhibitions are not open to visitors.

The exhibitions maybe closed during events that take place during normal open hours of  the Museum.

General Entrance Fee: 6,00€

Reduced Entrance Fee*: 3,00€

* Beneficiaries of reduced entrance fee or free entrance may be found here.

The ticket applies for visits in all venues (Nestorideion Melathron & Center of Modern Art (Old Sissitio), within one week from the date of original issue.

Visitors may purchase their tickets at the related desks in Nestorideion Melathron and the Center of Modern Greek Art (Old Syssitio).

Group reservations (for 10 up to 50 pax) may be arranged via phone at 2241036646, Mon.-Fri., 09:00-14:00

Unified Ticket for all the venues of the Museum

The ticket applies for visits in all venues of the Museum (Nestorideion Melathron, New Wing & Center of Modern Art (Old Sissitio) and remains valid within one week from the date of original issue.

How to get here

Nestorideion Melathron is located on Plateia Gavriil Haritou (Gabriel Haritos Square), also known as «Ekato Hourmadies» (100 Palmtrees).

The New Wing is on Paola Nestoridou Street (formerly Kos Street), opposite the western exit of the Grande Albergo delle Rose (Casino Rodos).

Bus

Nestorideion Melathron and the New Wing are accessible from the “Cazino” stop of Rhodes Public Transport Company (DES Roda), just a few meters before the New Wing, on Paola Nestoridou Street (formerly Kos Street). More on stops and routes

Tourist Buses

Touristic Buses (hop-on hop-off) stop at the Aquarium of Rhodes.

Bicycle

There is bike station of the  bicycling project Cyclopolis of the Municipality of Rhodes at the Aquarium of Rhodes.

 

The Center of Modern Art in located at the Old Syssition premises, at the crossroad of Socratous and Ippodamous streets, within the Medieval City of Rhodes.
Recommended gates: D’Amboise Gate or Eleftherias (Freedom) Gate.

Accessibility

All Museum venues are accessible to people with moving difficulties.

Access to Nestorideion Melathron is possible through ramp, a suitable elevator serves all floors and there is a bathroom for disabled people.

Access to the New Wing is possible through ramp and there is a bathroom for disabled people on the ground floor.

The Center of Modern Art has a small step at the entrance, without ramp.

Museum Shop

The Museum hosts a full museum shop at the ground floor of the Nestorideion Melathron.

The Museum Shop offers a variety of copies of work of arts, exclusive souvenirs and memorabilia inspired from the permanent collection of the Museum, and publications of the Museum in various languages.

The Museum Shop operates the same hours as the Museum. No admission fee is required for visiting the Museum Shop.
