The painting collection in the Museum is composed of art pieces made by Greek artists. The whole collection illustrates the history of Greek painting written by artists born late 19th century or later on.
Engraving
Just like in painting, the evolution of modern Greek engraving begins in the beginning of the 20st century. Engravers acquired very fast the ability to use materials and knowledge in order to pursue their own path. The pieces of engraving in the Museum are worth mentioning as are pieces and collections of Greek and international reference.
Sculpture
The Museum’s collection includes sculptures of the 20th century made by great and established artists in the beginning or the late days of their career. The Panorama of Greek sculpture is being completed by Greek and foreign artists, who enrich the Museum’s collection with pieces of art that follow the modern artistic trends.
