The collections of the Museum of Modern Greek Art of the Municipality of Rhodes include artworks dated from 1832, when the Greek state was formed. The preservation of all the artworks is being executed by applying all the relevant protocols and they are being constantly enriched and documented.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Painting<\/h3>\n

The painting collection in the Museum is composed of art pieces made by Greek artists. Its collections contain paintings by approximately 150 modern painting Greek artists, who defined the contemporary state of Greek painting. The whole collection illustrates the history of Greek painting written by artists born late 19th century or later on.<\/p>\n
